How Deep Is Your Love tied all of MaKenzie Thomas' strengths: her ability to connect emotionally with the material, her superior phrasing capabilities, her expertly placed runs, and old-school vocal inflections. She nailed every note with hairpin precision, knowing exactly when to throw in a falsetto or a run, and when to just hit the note head-on. She had a couple of performances that entered the Final 60, but this was the jury's collective vote as her best ranking twelve (12) times in the Top 10 and reaching the highest ranking from one jury member. This was an impressive feat for a contestant that didn't even reach the finale of her season. Great job!
