Indeed, Mad World was one of the songs that need to be retired from the reality singing show catalogue, but Maelyn Jarmon handled every word of this classic so delicately it was the vocal equivalent of polishing and putting away your favorite chinaware. One of the jury even mentioned how she grabbed his attention from the first note bringing palpable connection to the lyrics and an effortless control to those vocal choices. Six (6) jury members ranked it in their Top 10 of the year and one panel even named it the best of the year.
