American Idol 15: Top 24 (Group 1) All-Star Duets & Results
It's been a long journey with the show and to see the growth of each one of them since their Idol stint made me emotional. Lauren Alaina, in particular, was a scared teenage girl when she joined five years ago and looked how awesome she sounded on her duets. I'm sad, but happy sad. If that makes sense.
On with the results show!
Beautiful Life
No. 3.5
Man In The Mirror
Why didn't Nick say something about that annoying squeak? 3.5
See You Tonight
Zzzz. 4
Gone
The unbridled energy and enthusiasm was fun to watch, but Jeneve was a mess. 4.5
I Hope You Dance
This came off as if Lauren asked an audience to sing with her on stage. 5
Gimme Shelter
Thank God for Caleb. 6
I Believe
Thank God for Fantasia. 7
Flying Without Wings
Didn't expect Avalon to hold her own against Ruben. 7
Superstar
Same with Stephany! 7
Flat On The Floor
Dear judges, I beg to disagree. Yes, Lauren was glorious on this song, but Emily was good. Much better than yesterday. 7
Skyfall
She's still stiff, but at least she's making progress. Her voice sounded like a powerful butter. Ha. 7
Summertime
FANTASTIC! 9
RESULTS
La'Porsha Renae
Sonika Vaid
Avalon Young
Gianna Isabella
Thomas Stringfellow
MacKenzie Bourg
Jeneve Rose Mitchell
ELIMINATED
Emily Brooke
Stephany Negrete
James Dawson VIII
Jordan Sasser
Jenna Renae
When I learned about the results prior to the performances, I was furious with Emily Brooke's elimination. After last night, I thought the judges had enough reason to eliminate her based on her solo performance yesterday. However, when they advanced Gianna Isabella and Thomas Stringfellow over Emily Brooke or even Stephany Negrete, it left a bad taste in my mouth. Why judges, why?
