Music Release: Taylor Swift - Gorgeous "is not pretty."

It will not be Taylor Swift record if she will not dedicate at least one of her songs to her love story no? Lo and behold, as her fans continue to (or maybe already did?) decipher the inspiration behind her third single release, Taylor Swift is slowly racking up underwhelming music and her Reputation era is shaping to be her weakest to date.

Gorgeous, the single that dropped recently is a lackluster pop tune that is missing that oomph and bang. The single is tell tale formula of (obviously) her love life that she mastered throughout the years. But the single suffers to an awkward effort.

Gorgeous is not as bad as Look What You Made Me Do but it is neither an elevated tune from ...Ready For It?. Miss Swift Reputation era seems to be a missed experiment. So far, the tunes are missing the solid, meaty bangers of Red era or the hook laden pop friendly 1989 era. It just doesn't connect and Gorgeous didn't do much as well.

In the end, Gorgeous is an effort to connect but missed a lot of mark. It is not pretty. It could've been better but it settled to be okay.
