A simple guitar riff and an incredibly catchy loop backed up this mid-tempo R&B tune from Khalid and Fifth Harmony star, Normani. Love Lies is an undeniably infectious single from two young contemporaries. The collaboration on paper is a perfect match and the end results lived up to the expectations, and more.
Love Lies is simple. It doesn't rely on grand production. It however stands out on its own despite some similar tunes that could be compared to it. The best thing about Love Lies is that it allows Normani and Khalid to be front and center. Normani's gorgeous, smooth vocals hits its sweet spot and seems to be a home run while Khalid's sexy vibe.
In the end, the R&B single made up from its nonexistent beat to an impeccable vocal performance and simple guitar loop from both Khalid and Normani.
