It's been roughly three years since Aussie pop-rock group 5 Seconds of Summer released a radio hit and their comeback single is a pop-rock ear worm.

Titled Want You Back, the band features a hook-laiden hook in a simple, yet catchy production. 5 Seconds of Summer managed to capture an authentic ambiance that feels fresh yet not too alienating. Want You Back isn't bombast in terms of its production. The band settles with an almost feel good backtrack but the output fits well with the overall single.

It is relatively short for a comeback but it has an enough mellow attack that evidently charming and endearing. In the end, Want You Back from an untitled upcoming album is an uncharacteristic approach from the band behind She Looks So Perfect and Amnesia but it is a surprise you'd want to have every now and then.
