Music Release: Justin Timberlake - Filthy "served a peculiar taste."

Song Title: Filthy
Artist: Justin Timberlake
Album: Man Of The Woods

The anticipated return of Justin Timberlake via Filthy received mixed reviews from music pundits. While the single release and album announcement is a timely publicity - which he doesn't need to be honest - prior his Super Bowl Half Time performance.

Filthy served a peculiar taste in terms of what one would expect from Justin Timberlake. the tune is definitely not a booming bop like Can't Stop The Feeling nor it is not a slick R&B banger like Mirrors. But the peculiarity of Filthy is also its quirk. It may be a polarizing but it is a grower.

Filthy at its best is a funky, pop tune. But it doesn't rest on a vintage funk. It somehow elevates and adapts itself to a current sound. Imagine Prince meets Bruno Mars and the end result is an absolute solid track. The production is quite compelling and while it may not have the usual hooks and catchy rhythm, it is undeniably a grower.
