This may not be Ali Caldwell's first go-round at a reality singing competition, but her muscular instrument and pinpoint control remained impeccable and Somebody Loves You Baby was a testament to that. The scratchiness in her voice at the top of her range was raw and real and it had that kind of emotional connectedness that was a true mark of a genuine talent.
