Movie Review: Alita: Battle Angel
The film was just technically brilliant on all level. The visual effects were incredible, the landscapes looked stunning, the city the film build felt alive and breathing, and the character designs were truly something else. The character development and world building also felt organic. Yes, the storyline was a bit wanting, but it was enough to make me care for the characters and for the final outcome of the story. The romance was really familiar and overtly cheesy, but that love story was actually no worse than the one in Shape of Water - at the very least, what they had here was charming.
Alita: Battle Angel, with a few minor flaws aside, was a cinematic visual blast. Did I say I was blown away?
