Movie Review: Us

Not going to lie, Us had some significant logical issues that didn't really add up in my own head, but the movie still strangely made enough sense that it somehow didn't detract from what it was set out to accomplish. Part of it was because the film had absolutely so much going for it. The technical aspects, from the production, to the cinematography, pacing, and musical score were downright sensational. Plus, the acting performances, particularly from Lupita Nyong'o, were superb and Jordan Peele's direction was, again, quite masterful. Us was a complex and layered film that demands multiple viewing to really get the whole sense of the movie. It had issues, but the symbolism and imagery on this one was both beautiful and scary.
