Movie Review: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

Not going to lie, I was never a big fan of the Star Wars franchise, but a good film is a good film and, sadly, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was just okay. The plot was too cluttered and convoluted with unnecessary expositions, the characters were either bland (Rey) or obnoxious (Finn) that I had no reason to care about any of them - or maybe because I was just not a fan? - and the visual effects, though epic in scale, lacked impact. It also moved at a breakneck pace that some scene felt like it needed more space to breath. I don't know. One may argue that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was, at the very least, entertaining, which it was, but it still left me cold. Again, maybe because I was never a fan? For what it's worth, watched it with someone who adores Star Wars and enjoyed it. So, there's that.

Also, "I. Am. Ironman." Haha.
