Outstanding production aside, which was glorious at the very least, Sheldon's very specific tone and flawless sense of pitch and timing allowed him to take ownership rather than to merely borrowed the tunes he covers. Everybody Wants To Rule The World was every bit theatrical, but he also hit every note with such passion and presence it was as if he dug down to the song's infrastructure, reimagined it from inside and out and made us hear it for the very first time. The performance managed to top two (2) jury list and posting one of the lowest standard deviation of the year - at least in the upper tier.
