Music Release: In Real Life - Eyes Closed "is a typical boyband tune."
There's a new boy band in town and they literally got manufactured from a reality show called Boy Band. (Genius!) After the recently concluded finale, they immediately released a single that skyrocketed in iTunes Top 10, peaking at #9.
The single is a simple, pop tune that mixes some electronic synths and uptempo spit fire lyrics. Eyes Closed is generic at best. The production played along the current status quo of pop radio, which is a smart choice to make the track sound radio-friendly and accessible. While the single isn't the greatest, it is quite catchy especially the chorus part. It is a typical boyband tune that is expected from them.
On the other note, the single does not standout that it will find hard to reach the heights that previous manufactured groups had made.
Eyes Closed is okay and it shows promise for this new boyband.
