Quite frankly, Hallelujah is one of those songs that reality singing shows should collectively retire having been covered more than necessary - it was even present in this list twice this year - but there was something about this performance that resonated well with the panel that it topped two (2) jury lists and nine (9) more in their Top 10. Maybe it was that simple fact that he showed real passion and sincerity and came thisclose to breaking down with emotion, but never lost his grasp on pitch in the process.
