The Voice US 14: Live Playoffs (Part 2) #TeamKelly
Die A Happy Man
Eh. Kaleb has a decent and consistent country voice and that’s about it. Nothing more to say.
Stop and Stare
There was a palpable emotions to her delivery - it was as if she was really fighting hard for a spot in the Finals - but there were moments where she did hit a couple of questionable rough notes. Not sure if it was just pure carelessness, but they were quite noticeable. She had moments though.
At Last
Not sure what to feel about the performance. It was technically a strong vocal performance - though there were a couple of wobbly notes here and there - but again, there was nothing about her rendition that made a lasting impression. It was a capable one - nothing more, nothing less.
All On My Mind
I had a couple of reservations with the song choice, but he delivered a pretty compelling performance. There was personality, the vocals were, for the most part, on point, and he was working on stage quite well.
Mary Jane’s Last Dance
Was the song choice a little lightweight? Maybe, but some of his vocal choices showcased his ability to build performances with great dynamics, rhythm, and texture. The song gave him the opportunity to be a little flirty and sexy, but without being corny or obnoxious. He had charisma and fantastic stage presence.
