The Voice US 14: Live Playoffs (Part 2) #TeamAdam

#TeamAdam have always been a hot mess and this year was no exception. I was only rooting for one contestant and that person didn't even do enough to secure a place in the Live Shows. Most of them were okay, but at this point, I don't see anyone from his team winning this season.

05. Mia Boostrom
Either Way
This was quite unfortunate. Not sure what happened, but she struggled hard with the song. Her lower register wasn’t as stable as usual, the belted notes sounded horrible and shouty, and it felt like she was on pain the entire performance.

04. Jackie Verna
Once
It started out really lovely with her tone front and center. Then, the chorus came in and that tone somehow sounded a little grating to me. I don’t know what it was, but it didn’t sound pretty from where I was listening. She tried to power through and it just didn’t work.

03. Reid Umstattd
Long Cool Woman
Another throwaway performance from Reid. Don’t get me wrong, he sounded good and his grasp on his pitch was pretty good, but it just wasn’t remarkable. I mean, I could see this type of performance anywhere and not even care.

02. Drew Cole
Wild Horses
Possibly one of the most underrated contestants this season. Sure, this performance wasn’t his best on the show, but it was still considerably strong. His vocal choices from the runs and the placement of the texture of his voice was well thought out.

01. Rayshun LaMarr
I’m Going Down
Not entirely unique, but still quite riveting. I’ve never been a fan of Rayshun, but he laid down everything with the performance as if there was no tomorrow. Not mad about it, to be perfectly honest.
