The simplicity and unique tone to her voice is her power. It's honest, authentic, and it cuts to your heart. The song choice was refreshingly bold, the phrasing choices were exciting and exquisitely executed, and the fact that she was able to achieve some stellar vocal moments without all the bells and whistles (Ok, maybe the whistle was present. Ha.) was absolutely impressive. If you aren't a musical person, you may have missed some of the truly difficult vocal choices she made, but Leah Jenea's Best Part was simply divine. Five (5) of the jury even ranked it in their Top 5 this year.
