As if it is not enough that DJ Khaled's current collaboration - I'm the One - is vying for this year's summer song, he decided to drop one more potential hit before his full album release. DJ Khaled isn't playing. After having release a track that features Jay Z and Beyonce to current hit collaboration with Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper, Quavo and Lil' Wayne and recently releasing a track with Drake, he decided to keep the momentum up with his current superstar collaboration.

Wild Thoughts, his latest single, features Rihanna and Bryson Tiller with a recognizable sampling from Santana's Maria, Maria beats, and it's deliciously infectious.

Rihanna seems to be the perfect choice for a lead artist feature on this track. Rihanna's vocal quality gives a memorable and markable stamp on the song. You could easily spot and say that the track belongs to the RnB Pop superstar. Bryson Tiller's rap spot adds dynamics on the song. It feels cohesive and not just an after thought. The transition from the verses to the repetitive chorus is solid and the interwoven of the Santana sampling to the verses is quite fluid..

There is no denying as well that the sampling of beats and guitar riffs from Santana's Maria Maria gives this single a nostalgic yet fresh feels. It is recognizable without even trying. Somehow the sampling adds a current feel to the song especially with how the radio is currently topped by Luis Fonsi's Despacito.

Wild Thoughts isn't groundbreaking to say the least but it is accessible enough to reach it's target audience.
