It seems like prior to the anticipated release of her Reputation album, Taylor Swift and her team is pulling all the stops to make sure she stays on top. With the Reputation era lackluster delivery from the debut single to the succeeding singles, critics and fans alike are all eyes on the Shake It Off hit maker. Will she make it (again) or break this time?

To be fair, the singles that were released were different from one another, keeping an interesting showing from Ms. Swift. It gives the audience a variety and attempts that either a winning formula or a terrible idea all at once. Look What You Made Me Do is a terrible, floppy pop tune while the better ...Ready For It? fails to soar. Last Week, Gorgeous was released and it is not even pretty to be honest. Then we have Call It What You Want -- a lot is weighing in on the Max Martin produced single.

But somehow the tide was flipped marvelously and the dreamy, laid-back yet popping single brought interest to an almost train wreck Reputation era. In here, Call It What You Want plays back on the winning formula of Taylor Swift. An easy accessible, radio friendly and infectious single that is undeniably memorable. The production isn't booming but it's airy quality reminds you of Wildest Dreams and Taylor Swift sounds confident and into it. No, the single isn't revolutionary nor elevated pop music but in the pool of Taylor Swift's discography, this is a pretty solid effort especially following its predecessors.

The verdict: Are you ready for it? Say what you want but Call It What You Want is unabashedly gorgeous. See what I did there?!
