Movie Review: Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Why did I even drag myself into this flaming sh*tpile of a movie? Haha. Okay. That's a bit much, but Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom was just completely pointless. Sure, Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard were still goddamn likable and there were a couple of worthwhile action scenes, but the screenplay was just absolutely horrendous. The story was lazy and shamefully contrived, the writing was subpar, the new characters were mostly forgettable, and while the visual effects were fine, they were nothing groundbreaking. It seemed to me that this film was made only to squeeze out more money from the audience, who would simply pay just to see dinosaurs. As problematic as the previous film may have been, it did expand the horizons of the Jurassic Park universe, this, however, was a huge step backwards. There was little value one can get from Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and that's never a good thing. Maybe it's time for the franchise to go extinct?
