Movie Review: A Simple Favor

THREE WORDS: Blake. F*!%ng. Lively.

A Simple Favor was clearly that guilty pleasure movie that was both trashy and glorious. The story was compelling throughout the film  with some interesting twists, the chemistry between Blake Lively and Ana Kendrick was divine, the writing balanced the comedy and thriller elements with smart aplomb, and the set up of the mystery was incredibly riveting. In fact, the more I was having questions about the direction of the narrative, the more I was loving it. The final act was a bit of a let down though as it felt muddled, over-stuffed, and quite far-fetched.

A Simple Favor was delicious thriller with comedic undertones. Also, Blake. F*!%ng. Lively. It wasn't perfect, but was still outstandingly fabulous.
